Getting started with the demo-environment

If you landed on this page, you have probably received access to a Roseman Labs demo environment. On this page, we guide you through getting started with Roseman Labs and exploring the features it has to offer!

For more information about the product itself, see also https://support.rosemanlabs.com/i-want-to-understand-the-product-better

Setting up your account

You should have received two emails. One is the email from Roseman Cloud (no-reply@rosemancloud.com) with a request to set-up your account. This email is only sent to the owner and remains valid for two days. The owner is assigned by your Roseman Labs support contact. As the owner, you can add new users to the platform. You can also assign yourself and others one or more roles.

Note: Since this is a demo-environment that is running in design mode, script approval is disabled here. This means that you can run any crandas script.

When you have configured your account, you can get started to import and request data or to create new analysis. To do this, you should first assign yourself the role of analyst and data provider.

Dummy data

This environment is only meant for demonstration purposes: the security safeguards we have on environments used in production are not enabled here. Therefore, do NOT import, collect or process sensitive data here! Please only use either fake dummy data or publicly available datasets when trying out the platform. If you need help generating dummy data for your use case, please get in touch

Jupyter notebook

We want demo users to make a flying start! To help them with this, we provide each demo-environment with an online Jupyter environment. Here you can experiment with crandas, without having to worry about connection logic or a local python installation. You can log in to Jupyter by means of the credentials provided by email.

The Jupyter environment contains a folder “Tutorials”. Here you can find examples of crandas scripts and explore the functionality that the package has to offer and see how these functionalities can be applied to real world use cases.
