How to transfer the approver role

In this article, we will discuss how to transfer the approver role to a set of new approvers in the Roseman Labs Platform.

Who can transfer the approver role?

Only Admins (including the owner) and current Approvers can trigger the transfer of the approver role.

For all other users, the platform will be temporarily disabled during this process. Admins and Analysts can still access the settings pages, but no other platform functions will be available. Crandas will remain available during the transfer of the approver role.

  1. Navigate to Settings in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on the System page.

  3. Under the Approvers section, locate the Approvers table and click the button "Transfer approver role".

  4. Select the new approver(s) you want to assign. The new approvers will need to generate their keys following their selection.

  5. Click "Select X approvers" at the bottom (where X represents the number of selected approvers)
  6. A confirmation pop-up will appear to double-check the selected approvers. Click              "Confirm" to finalize the transfer. This will need to be confirmed by the current approvers before it is completed (and they will receive an email to do so). 

Current approvers will see the pop up on login where they will need to approve the transfer using their private key. 

Canceling the transfer

The transfer can be canceled at any time by any Admin or Approver. If canceled, the platform will be enabled again for all users, and no changes will be applied.


To cancel the transfer, login to the platform again and click "cancel transfer".
