In this article, we will discuss how you can export and import surveys between Roseman Labs environments.
Editing the survey file that is exported before importing it into another environment will invalidate the file - then this will not work.
Exporting a survey
There are two ways to export a survey from a Roseman Labs environment, both of which we will explain below.
1. During survey creation
1. Log in to your account and navigate to the 'Survey' section on the navigation bar and make sure that you are in the 'Sent' section of the sub-menu.
2. Click '+ Survey' located above the overview table.
3. Fill in the survey details and go to step 3 of the survey creation flow.
4. Add some questions to the survey and click on the 'JSON' tab.
5. Click on the 'Download' button located in the top right hand corner.
6. Enter the name you wish to save the survey as and then click 'Save'.
2. After the survey has been created
1. Log in to your account and navigate to the 'Survey' section on the navigation bar and make sure that you are in the 'Sent' section of the sub-menu.
2. Click on the 'View' button for the survey you wish to share.
3. Go to the 'Actions' dropdown located in the top right corner of the view page.
4. Select 'Download survey'.
5. Enter the name you wish to save the survey as and then click 'Save'.
Importing a survey
1. Log in to your account and navigate to the 'Survey' section on the navigation bar and make sure that you are in the 'Sent' section of the sub-menu.
2. Click '+ Survey' located above the overview table.
3. Fill in the survey details and go to step 3 of the survey creation flow.
4. Go to the 'JSON' tab.
5. Click the 'File' button.
6. Select the survey that you wish to import into the environment, and click 'Open'.
7. If the survey has been imported correctly, it can be checked by clicking the 'Design' tab.
